Newly introduced Frigidaire Affinity Front Load Washers took four of the top five spots in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy's Energy Star efficiency rankings. The rankings, which take into account the energy used to run the washer, heat the water and run the dryer, and the water efficiency, follow up Frigidaire's recognition as a Special Honoree in the 2010 Energy Star Awards for their commitment and dedication to energy efficiency in manufacturing and promotion. The award recognized Frigidaire's commitment to smart energy management and efforts to communicate the importance of energy efficiency to a wide audience.
"As a proud Energy Star partner, Frigidaire is committed to helping our customers save money and increase energy efficiency in their homes," said Marty O'Gorman, General Manager for Frigidaire. "That's why our new line of laundry and kitchen appliances offer industry leading energy efficiency along with innovative features that minimize energy and water consumption. We're proud to offer appliances that save consumers time, money, and considerable amounts of energy and water - from washers that use up to 155% less energy and 63% less water to dishwashers that use at least 41% less energy and 40% less water than was used just 10 years ago."
The Frigidaire Affinity laundry collection offers the largest washers and dryers in their class , so you can finish more laundry even faster. And with Frigidaire Affinity, wash time equals dry time - so you don't wait for clothes to dry. The new Ready Clean feature provides a better, gentler cleaning with up to 30% less energy and water. In fact, you could save 7,000 gallons of water and $149 a year by converting from a conventional washer to a Frigidaire Energy Star qualified front loading model - enough water to take 3,000 showers every year. The Energy Saver option further reduces energy use up to 60%.
The Frigidaire Affinity Front Load Washers and Dryers are available nationwide at Best Buy, Lowe's, Sears and select independent appliance dealers. Depending on the model, prices vary from $650 to $1,220.
