The Flat Bed Toaster is the favorite toaster type in Scandinavia. The bread is placed on the bread grill making it easy to keep and eye on the toast, and toast several types of bread at the same time. Breville toaster - intelligent one-touch auto lowering toaster

The die cast 4-slice Breville toaster comes with innovative Lift and Look feature, that raises and lowers the toast mid-cycle, allowing you to view and, if needed to stop the toasting. Motorized lever steadily raises the toast when the cycle is complete. Breville also equipped the toaster with the dual independent toast controls, enabling each pair of slots to work independently and toast to different preferences. The toaster sleek and refined finish is typical for die-cast construction where molds molten metals together at very intense temperatures. A Bit More function lets you lower the bread carriage for additional toasting time. Bagel button adds extra heat to the inner side of the cut bagel, while warming the outside of it. Split Triplo toaster by Craig Strangward

This quite unusual split toaster was designed by Craig Strangward, a product design student at DeMontfort University. Made from organic plastic, the Triplo toaster looks very cool and supposedly accommodates some refined heating and mechanical elements, which again supposedly, allow for simultaneous baking and roasting. For sure, it looks like no toaster we have seen before, and the concept is totally unique.

Zuse print maker - digital image toaster

Another kitchen gadget from Inseq Design creative talent. Made of aluminium and plastics, Zuse is a toaster equipped with optical sensor which activates digital toasting once it senses the presence of bread. Inspired by the early matrix printers and designed to work as a traditional print maker, it burns line-by-line black and white pictures with 12 by 12 pixel resolution into the toast. Comes with a memory chip which stores multiple images.
