Portable food container with heater

mo-ben-portable-heating-food-system.jpg

This portable food container called Mo:Ben, features an integral film heater element with thermostat that is embedded at the base, heating your food up to 75°C temperature from bottom up. Entered as a part of Australian Design Award competition, Mo:Ben consists of external and internal boxes. The external box has a carry handle, cutlery storage, non-slip silicon rubber base, and a temperature sensitive material for indication of food preparation, while the dishwasher-safe removable internal box is there to hold the food. The heat generated by the element is maintained by insulation foam that fills box cavity. Made of polycarbonate, the internal box features separate compartments to prevent mixing of different foods. This portable food container was inspired by traditional Japanese design of the bento box.
