This absolutely unique, elegant but highly practical and functional Miele island hood, DA 5000 D has canopy which automatically opens as soon as the hood is switched on, increasing the width of the vapor capture canopy from 12 cm when closed, to 31 cm during extraction. The stainless steel canopy combines beautifully with a set of inset glass panels. The sophisticated glass touch controls have numbers and symbols that are only back-lit when the island hood is in operation. When not in use, the controls are discreet and inconspicuous. The glass panels feature a silver metallic ceramic coating, applied using a screen printing technique followed by thermal fixation. Alongside the two 50 watt dimmable lights in the canopy, this Miele hood features separately controllable halogen lights in the chimney section. The DA 5000 D is an island hood for vented operation only. Installed above a large kitchen island, this 110 cm wide canopy is an imposing and exceptional eye catcher. Two double action fans extract air at the rate of 1,300 m3/h in the Intensive setting. Three speed settings plus Intensive, fan run-on controls and a grease filter saturation indicator. Excellent grease extraction is guaranteed by four stainless-steel filters. After shut-off extraction time for 5 or 15 minutes for complete air ventilation. Miele. See more Miele hoods.
