Range hoods by A-Line Appliances

Robust range hoods by A-Line Extraction offer power, performance and some of the most cutting-edge designs available in the UK. All range hoods feature the very latest technology and are available in a variety of widths. A-Line Appliances will also custom build a range hood if your kitchen requires a non-standard width extractor for that perfect fit. Common features include electronic control with digital display, halogen lights, controlled shutdown after switch off, metal grease filters with lifetime warranty and extraction rates up to 1,060 m³/h.

Most A-Line extractors are now available with the revolutionary new PlasmaNorm filter. After catching fume particles in its conventional metal grease filters, fumes are treated by a Plasma-based oxidation process, effectively destroying the particles completely, rather than just trapping them. As well as providing much improved odour control, PlasmaNorm technology is also extremely environmentally friendly. Requiring just a 20 watt power supply to operate, the long-lasting carbon filters regenerate themselves in the process which means they seldom, if ever, require replacement.

Horizon ET is designed with a clear Bauhaus architecture influence, and is available in 90cm, 120cm, 150cm, 180cm and 200cm widths. Larger custom-made designs can be done as well.

The A-Line Telescopic extractor range, with pull-out canopy, is based upon years of design experience and proven success. These extremely efficient range hoods feature the deep fume trap which ensures that cooking fumes are not allowed to escape around the side of the extraction unit. Designed to operate with remote fan extractor. The new speed control panel is cleanly positioned and easy to reach even when the canopy is pushed in. The new 810 series is now also available in a 120cm width.

Sky motorised retractable extractor is fully made of stainless steel and is available in 90cm wide and 120cm wide configurations with remote control, digital sky panel and washable filters. These range hoods rise up 45cm and can be installed in recirculation or ducted options.

Interesting modern design offered by Electrolux EFC9430X. The built-in stainless steel ventilation hood is the chimney style cooker hood with 3-speed fan + Intensive, conveniently located right-hand touch controls and dishwasher-safe aluminium cassette grease filter. The stainless steel ventilation hood that looks like a miniature set of elevator doors or a built-in side-by-side fridge freezer without handles, and why not. If this built-in hood is On when the Intensive speed is activated, it reverts to the previous speed after 5 minutes. If the hood is Off when the Intensive speed is activated, it automatically turns off after 5 minutes. This 76cm wide, built-in stainless steel ventilation hood offers maximum suction rate of 450 m³/h when installed in extraction option or 400 m³/h in recirculation mode. Elica cooker hoods customized by Mario Sasso

Known for its artistic and hi tech cooker hoods, Elica also helped to literally put the hand on a work of art, contributing to transform one of the greatest symbols of Renaissance art, The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, into a sculpture that blind people will also be able to appreciate. Two Elica cooker hoods, the flat-surfaced, screen-printed glass hood OM and the world quietest hood Space, were customised by Mario Sasso through the use of computer graphics. Mr. Sasso is the artist known as the originator of art involving the world of electronics and also the creator of famous opening sequences for TV programs. In these two works, he combined artistic invention with industrial design, interpreting the concept of communication with one hood, which portrays a street-map of Milan, and paying homage, in the second, to the dynamism of futurism through the image of a group of people enacting a Mexican wave.

Acting on an idea by Bologna Anteros Museum of Tactile Antique and Modern Painting and the Milan Institute for the Blind, the Città Italia Foundation organized an auction at the Milan Triennale which was held on Monday 28th of September, to collect funds that will be used to finance the Last Supper sculpture - a high relief work in white resin that measures 110cm in length and 50 cm in height.
