Maytag dishwasher recall - your choice

If you are affected by the recent dishwasher recall due to a potential fire hazard, Maytag is offering you two options - your dishwasher will be fixed free of charge, or you can take cash, anywhere from $150 to $250 to help you purchase a brand new dishwasher.

What should you be choosing? Common sense tells me, if you are satisfied with your current dishwasher other than being a part of Maytag recall, than have it fixed. If your want another model with better performance, efficiency or less noise, take the money. Just remember that a new dishwasher costs a lot more than $250. As simple as that.
