LG recalls 161,000 electric ranges
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and LG Electronics are voluntary recalling around 161,000 electric ranges, manufactured in South Korea and Mexico, and sold at Best Buy, Home Depot, Sears and regional appliance retailers nationwide from January 2006 to June 2010 for between $800 and $2,000.

GE Profile washer recall
62,000 GE Profile front loaded washers are being recalled. The models are WPDH8800, WPDH8900 and WPDH8910, manufactured between April 2008 and October 2010.

Bosch recalls Tassimo single-cup coffee makers because of burn hazard
Bosch sold over 1.7 million Tassimo single-cup brewers in the US and Canada. The problem is that the plastic pod called T Disc, Kraft manufactured container which holds the coffee or tea, can burst and spray hot liquid and coffee grounds or tea leaves, casing burns.
There have been 140 reports of incidents with the brewers spraying hot liquid, coffee grounds or tea leaves onto consumers, including 37 reports of second-degree burn injuries. For complete information on recalled Tassimo models and Kraft T Disks go here and here respectively.

Liebherr 30" bottom freezer refrigerator recall
If you own a 30-inch wide bottom freezer refrigerator from Liebherr, you may have the model with door that can accidentally detach. Check your refrigerator for the model number which should be on a label located behind the bottom drawer on the left interior side of the single door refrigerator.

GE washing machine recall
GE initiates recall of Chinese made front load washers. The voluntary recall is due to fire and shock hazards. You should stop using recalled products immediately. Total about 181,000 GE front-load washing machines were sold. The problem is with a wire that can break in the machine and make contact with a metal part on the washtub while the machine is operating, posing fire and shock hazards to consumers. So far there have been 7 incidents in which flames escaped the units and caused minor smoke damage with no injuries.
