BlueStar, manufacturer of high-performance ranges and wall ovens for the home, announced that its ranges will be featured on season two of The Next Iron Chef. The show pits 10 world-class chefs from around the United States against each other in cooking challenges each week, with the winner crowned the Next Iron Chef. Throughout the series, the contestants will complete some of their challenges on one of five high-performance, ruby red BlueStar 48" ranges. Siemens 36" avantGarde multiMedia Hood - available in USA in 2008

Siemens introduced its 36" avantGarde multiMedia Hood in Europe sometime in 2004. It did take a while, but supposedly, this Media Range Hood which features 17" high resolution TV screen, DVD, CD and what have you, is making it to North American shores somewhere in 2008. No word on the price yet, at least I couldn't find, but the European model was priced at €2,000.
