Miele Hybrid vacuum cleaner

The new Miele Hybrid is the first vacuum cleaner equipped with lithium-ion batteries that offers total freedom of movement and an unlimited range. The Miele Hybrid is also protected against possible but unlikely overheating because of an accidental air stream blockage. The motor stops automatically once the temperature reaches certain limit and will only resume operating when it drops.

Ekokook - green kitchen of the Future by Faltazi Lab

This green kitchen turns everyday waste into a new reusable source of energy, where each drop of water that fell on the roof or came from a tap should be used to the maximum instead of going straight down the drain, that every watt of wind and solar power produced by the house should be valorized on the spot.

Here is how Faltazi describes this endeavour: Ekokook is about implementing a comprehensive prospective research project for eco-friendly habitat in the real world, the Faltazi Lab. We are trying to answer the question of how to introduce ecological projects into the home. How to upgrade existing housing without Advocating complete reconstruction. The obvious responses are those that use non-structural elements of living space (doors, windows, equipments ...), which can be mass-produced industrially and are simple to install. We focus on the material interfaces between habitat and external resources. Each wall, each balcony, each window, each door, each shutter can serve as a support for an eco-system. Each facility in interaction with external networks (sink drain, garbage receptacle ...) can be upgraded to produce an immediate eco-benefit. All the air, water, wind and sun that reach habitat must be seen as scarce resources to be captured and used. Each drop of water must be collected and used to the Utmost before being evacuated to external networks. Slowly but surely, the accumulated effects of these eco-benefits will change our environmental footprint for the better.

Ekokook grew out of an experimental approach based on the analysis of the nerve center of every home, the kitchen. The place where we store food and prepare food, and produce and evacuate wastes is a vital core area for exchanges and convergences. It is also a place that generates all sorts of pollution. Which makes it the ideal focus for a study in eco-design.

The compact multifunction turbo HKX 790 belongs to the medium priced range of Teka wall ovens, offering 14 cooking functions, 17 recipes, 4 cooking levels and stylish touch control panel with LCD display. Finished in fingerprint proof stainless steel, the 46 litre wall oven is 'A' energy rated and comes with personal cooking assistant, express preheating, slow cook, drop-down maxi grill, meat probe, triple glazed door and full glass inner door. These ovens also feature cooling fan, door opening security disconnect and children safety block. Large cavity has crystal clean enamel finish, telescopic tray guide, deep tray with handle and cooking grid. Price for these Teka wall ovens is around € 650.

Water heating wood stove

The stylish water heating wood stove, Oasi from Caminetti Montegrappa comes in two models with 10. 5 kW and 16.5 kW heat outputs, and is characterised by the full glass door with logo and screen printed edging. To optimise combustion, the wood burning water heating Oasi is equipped with a damper and preheats the secondary air before letting it into the combustion chamber.

The Line Series air heating, wall mounted stoves by Caminetti Montegrappa are solid, heavy gauge steel, wood burning stoves finished in tough, yet subtly elegant black temperature-resistant coating. Compact, with strong dynamic lines and available in two models, Linea 6 and Linea 8, these wall mounted wood burning stoves feature front door with large ceramic glass window that is capable of withstanding thermal shocks of up to 750°C. The firebox is lined with refractory material designed to store heat when the fire is burning and release it very gradually, keeping the air warm even after the flames have died. Each wood burning stove comes with a natural convection system and has a 15 cm rear or top flue outlet. The stoves also offer heating efficiency in excess of 80%. Linea 6 variable heat output is in 3.9 to 7.8 kW range while Linea 8 yields between 5.2 and 10.4 kW. CO emissions are kept under 0.09%.
